Background
The customer is a commercial flower grower in Colombia, mainly producing chrysanthemums in greenhouses. The existing greenhouses use retractable blackout screen systems to control the daily light period and support different flowering and production schedules.
After long-term use, the existing blackout screens needed to be replaced. At the same time, the customer was preparing for the next chrysanthemum growing cycle and needed to find a supplier that could match the existing greenhouse system and deliver within a short time.
The customer searched online for blackout screen suppliers from different countries and contacted INSONSHADE.
The customer’s main needs included:

Solution
Based on the customer’s existing greenhouse screen system, original screen dimensions, and delivery schedule, INSONSHADE recommended the Darko blackout screen.
Darko is designed for blackout and photoperiod-control applications in commercial greenhouses. It can be closed at scheduled times to create the dark period required for chrysanthemum production. For this project, INSONSHADE confirmed the required screen specifications, width, roll length, and quantity based on the customer’s existing system.
The project had a short delivery window. Fortunately, the required Darko screen was available from stock. After the specifications and order quantity were confirmed, INSONSHADE was able to arrange the order and shipment quickly, helping the customer meet the required project schedule.
Result
INSONSHADE supplied the Darko blackout screen according to the replacement requirements of the customer’s existing greenhouse system. This allowed the customer to move forward with the screen replacement before the next chrysanthemum growing cycle.
The new blackout screens continued to support photoperiod and dark-period management in commercial chrysanthemum production. With the required product available from stock, the customer avoided waiting for a new production cycle and kept the screen replacement aligned with its greenhouse production schedule.
